Our client, a leader in AI product testing, is looking for a skilled AI Product Engineer to join their team for a 12-month engagement. This project involves building the crucial front-end user experiences and optimizing the performance and quality of Generative AI features. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesThis role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building the "connective tissue" between front-end user experiences and backend AI model outputs.
- Developing intuitive AI-driven UI components (streaming chat, interactive citations, multi-modal uploads).
- Managing the prompt engineering lifecycle to ensure product features deliver accurate and high-quality AI responses.
- Optimizing the "Time to First Token" (TTFT) and overall user-perceived latency for AI features.
- Rapidly iterating on AI product prototypes based on user feedback and internal testing.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in Full-stack development with a focus on AI integration.
- Deep expertise in React.js, Node.js/Python, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with modern CSS frameworks, Git, and collaborative design tools like Figma.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
