Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Developer, Business Intelligence to our team. The Sr. Developer, Business Intelligence is an expert level role that combines theory and practice to identify and communicate data‑driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and other executives in the organization or within a state Medicaid Program to make informed decisions. A good candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, a skilled communicator, and a quick learner with experience in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence.
Responsibilities- Use Qlikview, Qlik Sense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer and other product tools to create applications and data models for reporting needs.
- Identify inter‑departmental dependencies and downstream impacts of changes within reporting applications.
- Extract, Transform and Load data from various data sources.
- Adapt quickly to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools in a rapidly evolving, high‑growth organization.
- Take charge of ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Identify and provide insights into streamlining analytics processes and research improvement opportunities.
- Serve as analytics point of contact for state audits, legislative inquiries, and escalated analysis matters.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders or state stakeholders.
- Serve as a mentor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to teammates and business areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS with focus on business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent combined education and experience preferred.
- At least five years of experience with BA/BS or three years with a master's degree in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/Qlik Sense, SAS, Power BI or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is required. Knowledge of additional data analytic tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred.
