Workday Functional Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the higher education sector, is seeking a Workday Functional Analyst to join their team. As a Workday Functional Analyst, you will be part of the HR and Academic Affairs support team, contributing to the modernization and efficiency of faculty and staff systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Adelphi, Maryland, with remote work options available

$73-77/hr based on experience

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across HR, Academic Affairs, Finance, and other departments.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, well-documented functional requirements, user stories, and process flows.
• Support configuration, enhancements, and optimization of Workday HCM and Faculty/Staff systems.
• Collaborate with product owners and solution architects to ensure scalable and feasible system designs.
• Assist with change management, training, and documentation to enable smooth adoption of new system capabilities.

• 7+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, particularly Workday HCM or similar platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with requirements documentation, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Strong background in supporting faculty, academic, or workforce lifecycle processes.
• Experience working with integrations, data flows, and analytics/reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills in cross‑functional environments.
