Business Intelligence Engineer II – Strategic Data Team Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to drive strategically important operational and technical initiatives through data intelligence, analytics, and insights. This role is focused on building end-to-end BI solutions, improving reporting and visualization, and partnering across business and technical teams to deliver scalable, data-driven improvements. The ideal candidate has deep experience in SQL, Python, Tableau (or equivalent), large-scale datasets, and statistical analysis, with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Architect an end-to-end BI landscape including datasets, pipelines, ETL, and data visualization to support business operations.
- Create new reporting for business reviews, analyzer tools, and emerging strategy efforts.
- Improve auditing tools to identify gaps in technology systems and enable new capabilities.
- Build insights-oriented visualization tools in Tableau or similar to enhance decision-making.
- Challenge existing processes with data-driven alternatives that improve scalability and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create and scale intelligence roadmaps that drive automation, scale, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge repository for business intelligence as part of a growing center of excellence.
- Assist stakeholders in managing business operations.
- Join meetings to discuss issues, solutions, and progress.
- Partner with team members to design and implement BI solutions.
- Write SQL queries to pull, validate, and structure data sets.
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet expectations.
- Collaborate with a team of 5 members, with high interaction from day one until able to work independently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 4–6 years of strong working knowledge in SQL, Python, Tableau (or equivalent visualization tool).
- 2–5 years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Background (academic or professional) in statistics, programming, or marketing.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS Redshift, Glue, Andes, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to decompose business requirements into actionable plans.
- SQL, Python, Tableau (or equivalent) – 4–6 years.
- Experience with large-scale datasets – 2–5 years.
- Background in statistics, programming, and marketing (Master’s degree preferred).
