STEM Specialist – AI Trainer (Contract, Remote)

We are seeking STEM specialists to shape the future of AI by contributing to high-quality training data for large-scale language models. You will engage with the model on real-world STEM problem-solving scenarios, verify factual accuracy and logical soundness, capture reproducible error traces, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. You will also document failure modes to help harden model reasoning.

This work supports democratizing access to education, advancing research, and aiding engineers, scientists, and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Converse with the model on real-world STEM problem-solving scenarios and theoretical technical questions.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses.
• Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline is ideal.
• Desired: published research, engineering design experience, data analysis projects, or coding portfolios.
• Clear, metacognitive communication—"showing your work"—is essential.

Compensation and work arrangement

• Pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above.
• Contract‑based, remote work; secure computer and high-speed internet required. Company-sponsored benefits (health insurance, PTO) do not apply.
