IBM System Administrator III

We’re seeking an IBM i System Administrator to maintain split, secure, scalable IBM i environments in a large data center. Responsibilities include monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and support.

This role is a remote position with a required radius of approximately 70 mi from offices in Allen, TX;
Lenexa, KS;
Charlotte, NC;
Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO. Salary range: $72,700 – $91,100, depending on location and experience.

• Maintain IBM i partitions to ensure system availability and security.
• Monitor systems for optimum performance and uptime.
• Review security reports to enforce documented standards.
• Assist in preparation and periodic testing of disaster recovery plans.
• Research and resolve system‑i and customer‑related issues promptly.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call support rotation.
• Perform system saves and restores for effective backup and recovery.
• Install IBM operating system upgrades and PTFs as necessary.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

• Minimum five years of experience in IBM i administration.
• Ability to work extended hours with flexible/on‑call schedules as needed.

• Experience with IBM i security.
• Experience with Independent ASPs in an IBM i environment.
• Experience with hosted financial applications.
