Data Engineer, Database Administrator
Employment Details
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities- Create system architecture design specifications to outline objectives and organizational impact on scheduled reports and maintenance.
- Perform system security analyses to ensure proper handling of customer information.
- Manage Power Query and SQL/DAX queries to fully understand underlying models and adhere to company standards.
- Develop and install operating systems to provide concise SLM resources and dataflow management.
- Develop functional standards to address operational requirements, quality requirements and design constraints.
- Research, test, and verify proper functioning of system patches and fixes.
- Verify stability of data systems and ensure the compatibility of system components.
- Develop and implement an efficient process for intake and tracking of emerging BI technology requests.
- Confer with IT leadership to ensure functionality and deployment of information technology to proper departments.
- Encourage BI users to improve skills and make them aware of SLM training and requirements.

Qualifications- At least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, or a closely related field of study.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Database Analyst or closely related occupation.
- At least five (5) years of experience in:
- Data Tools Administration, Data Visualization tools, and BI reporting.
- SQL, DAX, Power Query, Snowflake, Oracle, Visual Studio, and ADO.
- Understanding business user needs and designing data models to make use of raw data that helps drive data insights.
- Connecting data tools with multiple data sources like Excel, CSV, Oracle, Snowflake, Adobe Analytics, or Salesforce to combine and analyze data.
- Deriving technical specifications from business requirements.
- Using current and historical data to build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Improvising BI systems to transition and balance usage of data consumption.
- Analyzing existing data connections and identifying opportunities for improvements in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and governance.
