DevOps Software Engineer - TS​/SCI Cleared

Leidos is looking for our next TS/SCI‑cleared Dev Ops Software Engineer to build and deploy a cutting‑edge technology stack in support of the DIA‑NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a 10‑year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you’ll contribute to mission‑critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth‑oriented team.

While the majority of work is performed onsite at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.

• Design, deploy, and maintain a full‑stack, containerized microservices architecture.
• Support system administration, installation, configuration, and broaden the adoption of Dev Ops best practices across cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Work with a multidisciplinary group of developers, integrators, and system administrators to deploy, triage, and maintain a production big‑data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops automation to accelerate development and improve reliability.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and Git Lab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success working in cross‑functional engineering environments.

• Experience operating systems at scale.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Development experience (Bash, Power Shell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.).
• Experience supporting enterprise or production systems.
• Familiarity with
  • Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS)
  • Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • GPU‑based Kubernetes
  • SALT for deployment automation
  • Helm / Helmfile
  • Nexus
