Platform Engineer; Senior — Kubernetes

Enpal is building integrated renewable energy infrastructure across solar systems, electricity storage, and connected energy services. As part of a growing engineering organization in Berlin, this Platform Engineer role focuses on improving internal platform operations, developer workflows, and cloud infrastructure reliability across a hybrid environment.

The position involves working with Kubernetes, Azure, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, observability tooling, and cloud-native applications while collaborating closely with developers, operations, and security teams.

• Automate recurring platform operations, deployment workflows, and infrastructure-related tasks through scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of scalable cloud-native infrastructure environments.
• Collaborate with senior platform engineers on Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and infrastructure as code initiatives.
• Improve developer experience by enhancing internal platform usability, reliability, workflows, and documentation.
• Contribute improvements that increase platform stability, performance, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with development, operations, and security teams to translate operational requirements into practical platform solutions.

Strong platform engineering environments often prioritize candidates with experience in remote web3 jobs and distributed engineering collaboration.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, Dev Ops, or software engineering environments, including internships or relevant projects.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized applications such as Azure, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, CI/CD tooling, Helm, Git Ops concepts such as ArgoCD, or observability platforms.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Type Script, C#, or similar languages.
• Interest in platform engineering, automation, and improving software delivery and operational workflows.
• Ability to coach junior engineers and take ownership of platform components and tooling.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• German language knowledge is considered a plus.
• Exposure to developer platforms such as Backstage is beneficial but not required.
• Experience working within agile engineering environments is a plus.
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting, and incident response fundamentals is beneficial.
