About the Role
The Associate Manager, Microsoft 365 Architect reports to the Microsoft 365 Manager as a member of the End User Productivity (EUP) team. EUP is a global team responsible for the management and delivery of digital workplace technology to all departments inside SC Johnson. Our core services include endpoints (laptops, mobile devices, and virtual computing), productivity tools, conference rooms, and office print services.
In this role you will be responsible for architecture and advanced engineering within the productivity tool stack, primarily consisting of Microsoft 365 technologies – Teams, Office, Copilot, email, SharePoint, One Drive, and other M365 productivity tools. This role balances user experience, cost, and supportability to design solutions that meet SCJ business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate planning and road mapping for Microsoft 365 services in collaboration with EUP service owners and cross‑functional architectural stakeholders.
- Develop project proposals for priority work to gain buy‑in for funding in upcoming investment cycles.
- Act as senior M365 engineer, guiding junior team members on technical best practices and interdependencies.
- Actively stay up to date on advancements, innovations, and changes in Microsoft’s toolsets and the broader collaboration and productivity landscape. Translate these learnings by initiating internal prototypes and proofs of concept.
- Govern architecture standards and principles for the M365 portfolio.
- Coordinate managed service providers for implementation and support of solutions provided by the EUP team.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience with a global enterprise‑level service.
- 3+ years of experience with Office 365 management and administration.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full‑time employment.
- Architecture experience and/or certification (e.g., TOGAF)
- Ability to work with and support a globally dispersed team
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers and vendors
- Technical leadership of projects and work streams
- Enterprise software licensing
- Portfolio planning and road mapping
- Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Mentorship and coaching of junior team members
- Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency
- Proactive awareness of technology trends, innovations, and industry dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve; creates actionable operational plans and involves others as needed.
- Full‑time during U.S. business hours with occasional evening meetings with Philippines team members.
- Remote work available once a week after a 90‑day onboarding period.
- This role is not eligible for relocation.
