Job Overview
The Data Advisor is a strategic partner and trusted consultant to business leaders and product teams. They translate business outcomes into data and AI opportunities, ensure alignment with the enterprise data strategy, and drive adoption and value realization of AI‑ready data products across structured and unstructured sources. This role blends business acumen, data literacy, and governance expertise to accelerate the responsible use of analytics, ML, and GenAI at scale.

- Business Acumen: Understands P&L drivers, operational metrics, and regulatory context.
- Data & AI Literacy: Deep understanding of data mesh principles—domain-oriented ownership, federated governance, and product thinking for data.
- Data & AI Literacy (continued): Grasp of structured/unstructured data, semantic modeling, feature stores, embeddings, and AI patterns (ML, GenAI, RAG). Familiarity with distributed data architectures and interoperability standards.
- Influence & Facilitation: Guides diverse stakeholders toward shared outcomes; excellent storytelling.
- Systems Thinking: Connects data contracts, governance, and platform capabilities to end‑to‑end product value.
- Change Leadership: Drives adoption through enablement, communications, and champion networks.
- Integrity & Judgment: Applies responsible AI and policy principles; manages sensitive data thoughtfully.
- 4-7+ years in data/analytics roles (e.g., data product management, analytics consulting, BI, data strategy, or applied AI).
- Proven experience aligning business strategy to data capabilities and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Working understanding of data platforms (lakehouse, ELT/ETL), semantic modeling, BI, and AI concepts (feature stores, embeddings, MLOps, RAG).
- Working knowledge of data governance (privacy, retention, classification) and Responsible AI principles.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate technical concepts to business language.
- Experience in Fortune 500/250 or similarly complex environments.
- Domain experience in one or more areas (Finance/Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Sales/Marketing, Customer).
- Familiarity with enterprise BI and AI ecosystems and governance platforms (Databricks, Azure, vector databases, MCP servers).
- Certifications in data governance, analytics, or AI (e.g., DAMA, Azure, AWS, GCP Data/AI).
