Remote Support Engineer, Junior

Position Overview

CGI Federal offers a Remote Support Engineer role within the Intel sector, advancing the national security mission with cutting‑edge technology. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and systems.
• Interact with customers (and potentially internal users) via phone, email, chat, or video conferencing to understand and resolve issues.
• Provide step‑by‑step instructions and guidance to users.
• Create and maintain documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and FAQs to assist users and internal teams.
• Identify and elevate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical users.
• Develop a strong understanding of the products or services supported.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other teams to resolve issues and improve products.
• Contribute to the improvement of support processes and workflows.

• Residence within 50 miles of the Bollston area, Virginia.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of related experience.
• Security Clearance:
  Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly; active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of computer hardware, software, networking basics, and related systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and aptitude for building rapport with users.
• Analytical problem‑solving ability to guide users through resolution.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize issues.
