Zirous is seeking a full-time Business Analyst to work directly with clients and Zirous technologists.
Location:
hybrid model (remote Mondays & Fridays; on-site Tuesdays-Wednesdays-Thursdays at West Des Moines, IA). Local candidates within the Des Moines metro will be given priority.
- Work on a variety of projects as a full-time consultant (length and industry vary).
- Act as the liaison between clients to gather and understand business and technical requirements & the internal Zirous technical team to build out the requirements. This position will primarily work on data and development projects, with potential to expand into other divisions such as Revenue Operations.
- Take the lead role in:
- Presenting proposals to clients.
- Eliciting requirements.
- Translating and simplifying requirements based on client needs.
- Defining project scope and objectives, prioritizing client business needs.
- Identifying manageable tasks and segmenting them into multiple project phases.
- Creating requirements documentation.
- Managing the entire implementation and communicating appropriately to all Zirous team and client team members.
- Validating the solution fulfills the requirements.
- Designing, reviewing, and executing test cases.
- Designing, reviewing, and executing process change management.
- Designing, reviewing, and executing training related to technology solutions.
- Leading kickoff meetings with clients, identifying field‑mapping requirements, mapping fields between systems, and testing integrations.
- Creating presentations and other documentation for client projects.
- Managing the project’s scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads to ensure successful project implementation.
- Lead project flows through task management tools such as Jira and
- Provide ongoing support to clients as needed post‑implementation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work a hybrid model within the Des Moines, IA metro.
- 3-5 years of business analysis experience working as a liaison between technical and non‑technical teams.
- Previous experience with a project task‑management tool.
- Must understand underlying processes and basic concepts around application connectivity with configuration experience.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Experience and interest in data analysis; enjoy deriving insights from data.
- SQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with Power
BI is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, maintain good standing, facilitate meetings, document business needs, and lead status updates; multi‑tasking is a must.
- Analytical ability, leadership skills, good judgment, and effective collaboration with clients and staff.
- Clear and concise written & verbal communication; ability to articulate complex concepts to engineers and translate for non‑engineers.
