Junior IT Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to support software implementation and client delivery projects in a hybrid role based in Northampton, MA. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their project management career—such as a Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or implementation professional—who is ready to grow into a full Project Manager role.

Working alongside a senior Project Manager, this person will help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward while building toward independent ownership of client‑facing IT projects.

• Maintain project plans, timelines, status reports, and scope documentation
• Track milestones, risks, issues, and action items
• Support project delivery from kickoff through implementation and handoff
• Coordinate communication between clients, internal teams, and technical resources
• Help manage project scope, schedules, and change requests
• Prepare meeting notes, status updates, and project documentation
• Support project closeout and knowledge transfer activities
• Assist with continuous improvement of project delivery processes

• 2–4 years of experience in IT consulting, software implementation, business systems analysis, or a related environment
• 1–2 years of project coordination, project management, or equivalent experience supporting project delivery
• Experience working on software implementation, SaaS, or other IT‑related projects
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow‑through skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline‑driven environment
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira is a plus
• PMP certification in progress or planned — our client supports and encourages the path to PMP
