The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL.
Note:
Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Support and maintain storage in the primary data center in Melbourne, FL, and the disaster recovery sites
* Install, configure, manage and maintain storage and backup systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and security
* Work closely with Infrastructure and other IT teammates to support and enhance our infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices
* Manage and maintain storage and backup systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions
* Perform regular data backups and recovery operations
* Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans
* Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues
* Install, configure, manage and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure for multiple networks
* Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
* Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists
* Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
* Regular patching and upgrade cycles
* Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
* Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format
* Develop and recommend corrective actions
* Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
* Analyze internal and external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems
* Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
* Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
* Make recommendations on the purchase of hardware, software, and system components
* Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions
* Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases
* Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
* Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions
