Gridiron IT is seeking aWord Press Developer (2) to work 100% remote. Must be clear for a government Public Trust clearance.

Job Summary:The Word Press Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable Word Press solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of Word Press architecture, coding skills, and the ability work on a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement complex Word Press solutions
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement project requirements and deliverables.
• Develop code and provide mentorship to junior developers and customer content creators
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Word Press sites.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Word Press trends, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure all Word Press solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation for projects and processes.
• Communication and collaboration with content developers to advise on solutions and troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Word Press Architect or in a similar development role.
• Extensive experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of Word Press core, themes, and plugins (like Gutenberg).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work closely with customers and other developers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with headless Word Press and JAMstack architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $95,000/yr
