About Prophetic
Real estate development is a multi-billion-dollar industry that has run on fragmented data, manual processes, and gut instinct for decades. Prophetic is changing that. We're building the AI-native platform that enables homebuilders, developers, and investors to find, analyze, and act on land opportunities from a single system — powered by proprietary technologies that process billions of data points across all 50 states.
We are the market leader in our space, and our customers don't just use the product — they love it. We're not making teams more efficient. We're changing how they operate.
Prophetic is scaling fast — demand is outpacing our ability to hire, and we're just getting started. This is a once-in-a-lifetime team: sharp, low ego, deeply collaborative, and obsessed with building the best product in the industry. Come disrupt an industry with us.
About the Role
Prophetic is building the AI-native platform that real estate developers, homebuilders, and investors rely on to make million-dollar land acquisition decisions. Our products — Search
AI, ZoneAI, SiteAI, Dev Map, and Deal Desk — process massive amounts of geospatial, zoning, and ownership data and present it through interfaces that need to be fast, intuitive, and trustworthy.
We're looking for a Head of UX/UI to lead the design function 'll define the design vision for the platform, establish design systems and standards, and ensure every user-facing surface is world-class. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to translate complex data and workflows into experiences that feel effortless.
This is a player-coach role. You'll personally design critical features while building the design team and processes that scale with the company. You'll own everything from information architecture and interaction design to visual design and prototyping. Our users are land acquisition professionals who operate under time pressure and rely on Prophetic's interface to move faster than the competition — the design quality of our platform is a direct competitive advantage.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the design vision, strategy, and standards for Prophetic's entire product suite.
- Lead end-to-end design for complex, data-rich interfaces — map-based views, search and filter systems, analytics dashboards, and AI-powered workflows.
- Establish and maintain a design system that ensures consistency, scalability, and speed across the platform.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define requirements, iterate on designs, and ship features that deliver measurable customer value.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to inform design decisions with real-world insights.
- Build and lead the design team as Prophetic scales — hiring, mentoring, and establishing design processes.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and interaction specifications.
- Advocate for design quality across the organization and ensure the user experience is a first-class priority.
- Work with the Account Management team to understand customer workflows, pain points, and feature requests.
What You Need
- 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead design role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in complex, data-rich application design — dashboards, map-based interfaces, enterprise SaaS, or similar.
- Deep proficiency with modern design tools (Figma preferred).
- Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile environments.
- Comfort with AI tooling as part of your design workflow.
- Excellent communication skills — you can articulate design rationale to engineers, product managers, and executives.
