WebSphere Administrator - Hybrid

Job Overview

90% remote work from home. 10% onsite in Kansas City, MO. Must reside near the KC Metro area to be considered. 3‑month contract to hire.

• Manage Web Sphere, especially legacy middleware systems.
• Perform and plan Web Sphere upgrades.
• Leverage Linux expertise as a key part of the role.
• Prepare for future upgrades and configuration changes, including familiarity with the Web Sphere Administration console.
• Support Dev Ops processes, including Jenkins and Puppet, and assist developers with CI/CD.
• Deploy in‑house code; the team does not deal with vendor applications.

• Experience with Web Sphere management and upgrades.
• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ (beneficial but not required).
• Experience with Dev Ops tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, and CI/CD processes (bonus).
• Knowledge of the Web Sphere Administration console.
• Knowledge of web server environments such as Apache.
