Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key resource for cross-departmental and cross-sector data management, extraction, analytics, and utilization.
  • Help shape and inform internal and external data.
  • Develop expert level knowledge in data definitions and the nuances of when and how data is collected, input, and transformed.
  • Identify key takeaways and insights from data.
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes and documentation for collecting and coordinating data across SHA.
  • Identify and continuously improve original data and cross-departmental analytics.
  • Identify and test changes to SHA’s data warehouse and create and maintain metadata and documentation.
  • Create accessible, audience-tailored dashboards and reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, microeconomics, statistics or a related field
  • May substitute four additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of the degree.
  • May substitute master’s degree in a related field in lieu of one year of work experience.
  • Experience in data analysis, information management, data science, or a related field, including:
  • One year of SQL experience.
  • One year of data mining experience with a strong understanding of data flow structure.
  • One year of experience developing reports, visualizations, and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • A track record of navigating complex organizations, developing trust among colleagues, and building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A designation of I or II within the data analyst classification is dependent on years of experience and education as well as the scope, complexity, and impact of work assignments
  • Level I:
    Two years of work experience.
  • Level II:
    Four years of work experience.
