Responsibilities
- Serve as the key resource for cross-departmental and cross-sector data management, extraction, analytics, and utilization.
- Help shape and inform internal and external data.
- Develop expert level knowledge in data definitions and the nuances of when and how data is collected, input, and transformed.
- Identify key takeaways and insights from data.
- Support the continuous improvement of processes and documentation for collecting and coordinating data across SHA.
- Identify and continuously improve original data and cross-departmental analytics.
- Identify and test changes to SHA’s data warehouse and create and maintain metadata and documentation.
- Create accessible, audience-tailored dashboards and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, microeconomics, statistics or a related field
- May substitute four additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of the degree.
- May substitute master’s degree in a related field in lieu of one year of work experience.
- Experience in data analysis, information management, data science, or a related field, including:
- One year of SQL experience.
- One year of data mining experience with a strong understanding of data flow structure.
- One year of experience developing reports, visualizations, and recommendations based on data analysis.
- A track record of navigating complex organizations, developing trust among colleagues, and building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- A designation of I or II within the data analyst classification is dependent on years of experience and education as well as the scope, complexity, and impact of work assignments
- Level I:
Two years of work experience. - Level II:
Four years of work experience.
