OverviewYou will serve as a hands‑on SRE within Post Trade Automation Technology, improving the reliability and scalability of our Fixed Income Settlement systems. You will build the engineering solutions that strengthen our cloud footprint, enhance automation, and modernize both Fabric‑based and legacy components. You will apply SRE principles to optimize performance, reduce operational friction, and deliver the resilient infrastructure our business depends on.

- Develop and implement reliability, availability, and observability improvements across Fixed Income Settlement systems
- Define and maintain SLOs/SLIs and use them to guide engineering priorities and service quality
- Build resilience patterns (e.g., auto‑scaling, circuit breakers, retries) into application and infrastructure code
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to reduce toil and improve MTTR
- Design and maintain Corporate Insurance (CI)/CD pipelines and automation frameworks supporting Fabric‑based and legacy systems
- Architect and deliver scalable cloud solutions on GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern cloud‑native practices
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, NodeJS/Type Script, or Shell
- Hands‑on experience with GCP and Terraform‑based infrastructure‑as‑code
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Ansible, UCD)
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and Helm
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and cloud‑native engineering
- Experience with Azure or AWS
- Background in Fixed Income Securities Settlements or financial systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communicator who collaborates well across engineering and business teams
- Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and mentoring
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $153,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
