Senior Scrum Master (Remote)
Leads multiple cross‑functional teams or an Agile Release Train (ART) guiding them on using Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, and Lean (e.g., Kanban) values and practices through servant leadership within the Data & Analytics Organization. Creatively nurtures a culture of continuous learning, a growth mindset, and agile maturity in teams/ART via agile practices, metrics, and SAFe guidelines. Removes blockers and partners with leadership while exhibiting Lean‑Agile behaviors and mindset.
EssentialFunctions
- Facilitates the team’s progress toward goals as a senior Scrum Master or as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a SAFe Agile release train. Continuously challenges old ways of working to improve performance on quality, predictability, flow, velocity, and other enterprise‑defined metrics.
- Supports the team’s continuous improvement of communications and relationships with other teams. Coordinates work to improve flow and throughput and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums (SoS) or other program‑level ceremonies, maintaining awareness of larger program effectiveness opportunities.
- Eliminates impediments by engaging the right stakeholders, supporting the team/ART in addressing issues to achieve iteration or PI objectives, and improving transparency.
- Infuses Lean‑Agile leadership behaviors to nurture a Lean‑Agile mindset, leads initiatives to improve business agility, and drives the culture change needed for improved agility within teams and ARTs.
Leads a team utilizing a matrix management system.
QualificationsEducation Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent. If no degree, an additional four years of relevant work experience is required.
Licenses/Certifications- SAFe Scrum Master Certification – Preferred upon hire
- Certified Scrum Master (CSP) – Required upon hire
- Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer – Preferred
- Certified Scrum Professional – Preferred
Eight years or equivalent in Lean/Agile methodologies, with at least three years as Scrum Master or Kanban lead. Proven success in leading multiple Agile teams to maturity and improved customer outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications- Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile Release Train.
- Leading change and continuous improvement with a cross‑functional team using lean‑agile methods.
- Experience with value‑stream mapping, system‑level optimizations, Theory of Constraints, and other Lean techniques.
Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of Lean‑Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of Lean Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
- Knowledge of scaling frameworks such as SAFe.
- Demonstrates strong accountability for program success.
- Knowledge of Product Ownership, Dev Ops, and Test Automation practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑starter capable of prioritizing work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to organize data and create metrics, reports, and dashboards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry‑standard Agile tools.
- Ability to drive change, manage conflicts constructively.
- Consistently meets deadlines and handles multiple customer service demands, communicating positively with internal and external customers, including demanding or challenging ones.
$104,976 – $208,494. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographical differentials. Compensation decisions depend on experience, internal equity, and location.
