PCC IT Service Desk is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to provide remote computer support to end users across the college.
Work ScheduleMonday – Thursday: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Provide computer hardware, software, and network support to end users.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all incoming calls and email support requests.
- Respond to infrastructure emergencies, prioritizing and escalating as needed.
- Document, track, and monitor issues and outages using database management software.
- Configure, test, diagnose, and resolve network anomalies.
- Train staff on computer platforms and applications.
- Direct and review work of student and casual employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree or two years of college‑level coursework in a computer‑related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of experience with automated systems, PCs, network technologies, databases, learning management systems, printers, and common software applications.
- Computing devices, operating systems, network technologies, printers, and peripherals.
- Desktop, client‑server, and browser‑based software applications.
- Principles of troubleshooting and analysis.
- Learning new computer software.
- Verbal and written communication.
- Multi‑tasking and time management.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware and software in a networked environment.
- Plan, organize, and document complex network activities.
- Prioritize work requests and work occasional long hours.
- Provide own transportation for occasional on‑site visits.
Full‑remote position with occasional on‑site visits for team meetings or emergencies. Requires exposure to changing ergonomic environments, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working in confined spaces.
