This Data Steward would ensure datasets in the Data Warehouse and Databricks meet governance and quality standards, maintain metadata and lineage in VAULTIS, and partner with DT and business process owners to enforce best practices—ownership, traceability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities1. Data Quality Management
- Monitors data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency.
- Identifies data issues and coordinates corrections with business or IT teams.
- Implements validation rules and supports automated quality checks (DQM).
- Maintains data definitions, lineage, and ownership in governance tools such as Axon, Informatica, Collibra, and VAULTIS.
- Ensures metadata is up to date, standardized, and compliant with naming conventions.
- Ensures compliance with organizational data governance standards.
- Works with Data Owners and Data Governance Teams to define and apply data policies.
- Participates in governance councils or CORE process reviews.
- Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and data engineers.
- Helps translate business requirements into clear data definitions and processes.
- Supports audits, root‑cause analysis, and data lineage tracking.
- Recommends process or tool improvements to strengthen data integrity.
- Tracks recurring data issues and ensures they’re addressed at the source.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or certification (e.g., CDMP – Certified Data Management Professional) is a plus.
- SQL and Power BI knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK, VAULTIS).
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Axon, EDC, Informatica, Collibra, Power BI, SQL, and Databricks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, lineage, and metadata management.
- Analytical and communication skills to work across business and technical teams.
- Attention to detail, documentation discipline, and process orientation.
- 3–5 years in data analysis, data governance, or information management.
- Proven track record of supporting enterprise data initiatives.
