Position: (Remote) Procure to Pay Systems Administrator - Procurement, Contracting & Payment Services

About the Opportunity

The Procurement, Contracting & Payment Services at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Procure to Pay Systems Administrator.

The position reports to the Associate Director and assists the Senior Procure to Pay Systems Administrator with the administration for Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) systems. This includes daily support, executing test plans, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing and coordinating reporting across all P2P systems.

This position is remote with occasional required travel to Morgantown, WV. Travel expenses for on‑site visits are not reimbursed and must be covered by the employee.

What You'll Do
  • Application Administration and Support
    • Assist with application administration for P2P systems, including developing and performing test plans, coordinating testing with functional users, and documenting results.
    • Work with other technical support groups, both internal and external, to provide solutions to the P2P team and its customer technology requests and needs.
    • Assist in the implementation of P2P systems projects.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Assist with identifying functionality issues, document potential solutions, and work with other technical support groups to provide solutions to P2P teams and customer technology requests.
    • Under supervision, complete process‑improvement projects utilizing system functionality, recommend enhancements, and develop tools to achieve intended results.
    • Work to streamline P2P business functions and guide all groups to implement best practices and workflows.
  • Training and End User Support
    • Support and cross‑train P2P team members in business practices related to systems.
    • Provide strong customer service, understanding a wide range of system usage skill sets.
  • Reporting
    • Assist with mining and compiling data, report writing, and dashboard development across all P2P systems.
    • Reason, demonstrate knowledge, and understand the audience to provide outstanding support through reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience researching, developing, and applying technical solutions to support organizational operations, training, reporting, and archival needs.
  • Specific experience with design, configuration of business processes, and administration of a financial or P2P system.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all staff levels and explain complex technical terms.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents such as specifications, solutions approach, and reports.
  • Experience with facilities management systems, financial systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.), e‑procurement tools, and data retrieval from database sources.
  • Ability to develop professional technical documents, procedures, and reports.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and ensure timely, quality completion.
  • Independent work capability with problem‑solving skills.
  • Analytical and logical reasoning skills for complex issue resolution.
  • Ability to design reports that summarize results effectively.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree.
  • Experience with an e‑procurement tool.
  • Experience in BI Publisher Reports customization & development.
  • Experience with Workday.
