Associate Product Manager (Full-Time or Contractor) - Remote
New York, NY, USA
Oula delivers maternity care built around our patients—offering comprehensive support before, during, and after pregnancy. With fewer C‑sections and higher VBAC success rates, our research‑backed approach is delivering better outcomes. Our team of trusted midwives, OBGYNs, and dedicated care navigators ensure our patients get the type of care they need in the moments that matter most.
About the RoleWe are looking for an Associate Product Manager to serve as the connective tissue between our Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. This role is the engine behind how we ship; owning the data infrastructure, tooling, and processes that enable the product team to move fast and with confidence. You will be deeply embedded in the day‑to‑day of product development: triaging bugs, managing our tech stack, building feedback loops with clinic teams, and ensuring every launch is equipped with the training and toolkits our Clinical + Operations team needs to succeed.
WhatYou'll Own EHR Integration Management
- New Market Technology work streams: Serve as the internal and external owner of EHR health system integrations, project managing timelines and iterating to reduce integration time; partner closely with health system IT teams to navigate Epic‑ and athena-specific constraints and accelerate go‑live timelines.
- Systems Integration Facilitation: Serve as the primary facilitator during integrations with health system partners. You will manage the coordination of technical requirements, timelines, and documentation needed for EHR (Epic, Athenahealth) data exchange via FHIR/HL7.
- Operational Intersection: Act as the primary coordinator between Product (feature definition), Engineering (technical build), IT, and Clinical Operations (on‑the‑ground implementation). Ensure that technical roadmaps account for the realities of a live clinic environment.
- Ongoing Expertise: Serve as the internal subject matter expert for EMR integration and configuration best practices.
- Partner with Engineering to own and continuously refine a consistent, scalable tech stack across new and existing markets.
- Drive feature parity efforts so patients and clinicians experience a consistent standard of care regardless of market.
- Maintain interoperability across key platforms—i.e. everything a patient engages with in the portal should be visible to the clinician in the EMR + Oula platforms.
- Build and maintain scorecards that surface how clinics are actually using our technology.
- Develop dashboards and quarterly reports to establish rigor around feature adoption and ROI.
- Ensure data infrastructure is in place to measure the impact of every feature rollout.
- Own the intake and prioritization process for bugs surfaced by Market Operations.
- Standardize how Engineering receives, scopes, and resolves reported issues.
- Drive transparency for end users on individual issues and recurring themes—reducing time‑to‑resolution and increasing visibility.
- Categorize bug themes for escalation to Product Manager and Engineering teams.
- Create structured toolkits and training materials for Market Ops so teams are fully prepared for new feature launches and rollouts.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end launches across Product, Engineering, and Go‑to‑Market, including user feedback and internal testing. Proactively identify how AI and automation can improve project predictability or reduce manual administrative burdens.
- Own rollout implementation and run‑of‑show across key stakeholders.
- A standardized, well‑documented tech stack with measurable parity across all markets.
- Reporting dashboards that give the product team, health system partners, and internal leadership a clear signal on feature health and adoption.
- Launch operations that consistently deliver smooth rollouts, with downstream teams equipped and ready on day 1.
- A feedback loop from the field that turns clinic noise into prioritized, actionable product input.
- Experience: 4+ years in product operations, product management,…
