As a Public Sector Account Executive, you will play a key role in expanding our presence across federal, state, and local governments. You'll be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, navigating complex procurement environments, and positioning our cybersecurity solutions to meet the evolving needs of public agencies. This is a high-impact role focused on building meaningful relationships and driving long-term value in the government space.
What you will do:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities across federal, state, and local government agencies
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with government buyers, influencers, and procurement officers
- Leverage your network and conduct outreach via email, phone, and in-person events to drive pipeline growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals, RFP responses, and capability statements
- Maintain accurate records of pipeline, forecasts, and opportunities in a CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot)
- Monitor legislative developments, agency budgets, and bid portals to stay ahead of upcoming opportunities
- 5+ years of sales experience, including at least 2 years focused on the public sector (Strong understanding of government procurement cycles, budgeting processes, and commonly used contract vehicles, e.g., GSA Schedules, NASPO, state-specific contracts)
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity products, services, and frameworks—particularly how government agencies evaluate risk, compliance, and technical fit
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with public sector organizations
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive deals through long sales cycles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying technical value propositions to both technical and non-technical government stakeholders
- Work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-growing field
