Device Setup Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the retail technology space, is seeking a Data Entry / Device Setup Technician to join their team. As a Data Entry / Device Setup Technician, you will be part of the project support team assisting with a Windows 11 device upgrade initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic technical aptitude, and solid communication skills which will align successfully within the organization.

Data Entry / Device Setup Technician

Remote – Must be local to Salisbury, NC for occasional onsite needs

$15.00 per hour

• Complete setup and configuration of Windows 11 computers by following documented scripts and procedures.
• Install and configure required applications and register software on devices according to project guidelines.
• Perform data entry and tracking of device setup status using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Connect remotely to devices using Windows Remote Desktop and complete configuration tasks.
• Communicate with store users and project team members regarding setup progress, scheduling, or follow-up tasks.

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Ability to follow step-by-step technical documentation and setup procedures accurately.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
