What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a highly motivated Member/Senior Solutions Architect with strong Dev Ops engineering expertise to join our multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-impact national security systems. This role will primarily focus on designing, implementing, and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, code repositories, and Dev Ops processes to streamline software delivery and improve development workflows.
As a key Dev Ops engineer and solutions architect, you will bridge the gap between development and operations teams by fostering collaboration, automating infrastructure provisioning, and optimizing the software delivery lifecycle. You will lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for critical software and firmware, including those used in the optical processing of the Spectral Imaging Hyper Temporal Sensor (SIGHTS) on the Global Burst Detector (GBD) satellite system.
You will also manage and optimize code repositories and CI/CD processes for a web stack supporting over 30 web applications written in Java and C#. Your expertise will support related programs tied to GBD and other national security initiatives.
You will be responsible for automating build, test, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning processes; integrating unit testing and quality assurance into pipelines; managing source control systems; and collaborating closely with software developers, system architects, and operations teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines primarily using Git Lab CI/CD and other Dev Ops tools.
- Manage and optimize code repositories, including branching strategies, access controls, and integration with build and deployment systems.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to support scalable and repeatable deployments.
- Develop and integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD workflows to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to bridge gaps, improve communication, and streamline workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, repository issues, and deployment problems across multiple environments.
- Research, prototype, and implement new Dev Ops tools and best practices to improve pipeline efficiency, security, and reliability.
- Document CI/CD and Dev Ops processes and provide training and support to development teams.
- Develop custom software interfacing with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products as needed.
- Work onsite due to the sensitive and classified nature of the work environment.
Due to the nature of this work the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$102,400 - $199,700
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- Proficiency managing code repositories (e.g., Git) including branching, merging, and access control best practices.
- Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Active DOE L or Q clearance or DoD equivalent.
Qualifications We Desire:
- Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Dev Ops engineer or solutions architect designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab CI/CD or similar tools.
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Experience integrating automated testing frameworks into CI/CD workflows.
