Job Details Under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the IT Network Engineer will provide oversight, installation and remediation of all company network infrastructure equipment. You will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve IT Network related issues, and assist with maintaining networks and servers. The IT Network Engineer will also be tasked with creating and maintaining a network architecture that is scalable and reliable.

The IT Network Engineer will also be responsible for oversight and performance of our production pharmacy LAN environment and provide project management of ongoing upgrades and enhancements. The IT Network Engineer will also communicate technical issues with IT Leadership as well as research and implement solutions; document inquiries and resolution in the Service Desk ticketing system; communicate all changes to appropriate IT and business management;

keep skills in relevant technologies up to date and take steps to constantly improve those skills. To ensure success as an IT Network Engineer, candidate should possess extensive experience in an IT Network support role and the ability to optimize the performance of network infrastructure topologies and components. An accomplished IT Network Engineer will be someone whose technical expertise results in enhanced IT system efficiency across company structures.

In addition, the IT Network Engineer will be a key resource in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

Responsibilities Monitoring and maintaining networks and associated server components.

Upgrade existing hardware as required.

Installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.

Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.

Assess existing network services, operating systems and security programs.

Provide proactive monitoring and analysis of network systems and components.

Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize network availability.

Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving configurations.

Continuous documentation of network IP address schemes, network elements and creating network maps.

Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.

Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices as it relates to Network Infrastructure.
