Data Integration Engineer

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical professional to join our team in a role focused on content development, specifically:
Management Information Base (MIB) to the Object Identifier (OID) mapping, compliance control mapping, and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing and maintaining OID mappings, validating their accuracy, and aligning them with relevant standards and control frameworks. You will conduct in-depth reviews of compliance controls to ensure proper coverage, effectiveness, and traceability. A key component of the position involves identifying opportunities to automate OID mapping processes, designing and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WA.

• Research, collect, and maintain accurate OID mappings to our existing data model
• Maintain alignment with security frameworks, compliance data, and IT operations standards.
• Engaging with the engineering team to implement and test mappings on virtual hardware and devices as needed.
• Conduct compliance control reviews to ensure coverage, traceability, and alignment with compliance and industry best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline OID mapping, control validation, and content production workflows.
• Build and maintain structured technical content and scripting enhancements for IT operations software products.
• Research emerging IT operations standards and security best practices; design and standardize new mappings and frameworks within the product.
• Continuously improve and update the content database through research, gap analysis, quality assurance, and process optimization initiatives.
• Other duties as needed

• 1–2 years of experience in an MSP or enterprise IT environment supporting Windows and/or Linux systems.
• 1–2 years of experience in developing Power Shell scripts to automate tasks and troubleshooting.
• Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, networking, and managed services tools.
• Basic understanding of vulnerability management, patching, and security control concepts.
• Familiarity with core networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and device troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to research technical documentation and clearly document processes and findings.
• Motivated to learn, improve processes, and contribute to automation initiatives.

This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship. Due to operational policies, Ninja One is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self‑relocate.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job‑related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey or Washington the base salary hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $100,000 per year.

For roles based in New York the base salary hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $100,000 per year.
