Job Title: Service Now HR Module Senior Developer

Location: Hybrid (Preference for candidates local to Kansas or DMV). Will be working at Office location 3-4 days/week

Job Description:

Sara Software Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Now HR Module Developer/Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates based in Kansas.

• Design, develop, and implement HR service delivery solutions within the Service Now platform, including Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, HR Portal, and other HRSD modules.
• Customize and configure Service Now HRSD workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to meet HR requirements and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate user needs into technical solutions and system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now HRSD and other HR systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration of HR processes.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues and ensure the stability and reliability of HRSD solutions.
• Stay informed about Service Now platform updates, new features, and best practices, and recommend and implement enhancements to optimize HRSD functionality.
• Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and system architecture diagrams.
• Provide technical support and guidance to HR stakeholders and end-users, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering training as needed.
• Develop and customize functionalities, and workflows.
• Integrate Service Now with other systems and applications such as HCM, Payroll, IAM, and other systems/applications using APIs, web services, and other integration methods.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and business rules to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Create custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide insights and metrics related to HR services and business processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, system administrators, and end-users, to gather and analyze requirements.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to end-users and other teams to ensure effective use of the Service Now HRSD product.
• Configure applications using Service-Now tool used in ITIL Management.
• Hands-on experience in client scripting using different scripting languages like HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS.
• External Web Services Integration (SOAP based, WSDL and REST based) and experience in working with Scripted Web services, Script Includes, JavaScript, and Jelly Scripting.
• Generate JavaScript to create Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
• Creation of Center of Excellence (COE) for HRSD.
• Experience in configuring Data Sources, Import Sets, SLA/OLA, LDAP, SSO, Mid Servers, and Transform maps.
• Knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management Services:
  Business Services and Configuration item relationships.

• Proven experience with hands-on Service Now scripting and understanding the order of execution.
• Expertise in working with complex UI customization, UI macros, and Service Portal.
• Strong experience in third-party integrations and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an exceptional team player mindset.
• Ability to generate JavaScript to create Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
• Hands-on experience in client scripting using HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS.
• In-depth knowledge of external Web Services Integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST) and experience with Scripted Web services, Script Includes, JavaScript, and Jelly Scripting.
