About The PositionWe're looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join Citco's global IT infrastructure team based in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining our worldwide network infrastructure, combining traditional networking expertise with modern cloud technologies.
As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and expanding our Global Enterprise Network spanning Office Networks, Datacenter, and Hybrid Cloud environments — ensuring high availability and performance across our worldwide operations. You will work alongside a collaborative global IT team, contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities Network Operations & Management- Lead Tier 1 technical support for global network infrastructure
- Maintain and optimize WAN/LAN infrastructure across data centers and remote offices
- Execute network maintenance activities including critical updates, software upgrades, and security patches
- Implement and manage SD‑WAN solutions across office locations
- Support external client connectivity requirements
- Ensure all LAN and WAN traffic remains encrypted in accordance with network security standards
- Contribute to network architecture decisions and improvements, including topology design, deployment, and support of all network infrastructure hardware
- Support cloud connectivity design to public cloud providers across multi‑cloud architectures
- Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure initiatives and projects
- Provide troubleshooting support across technology domains
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and security policies
- Participate in on‑call rotation (1‑week duration / 8–10 week intervals)
- Adapt to flexible working hours when required
- Travel for critical infrastructure projects several times annually
- 3+ years of enterprise networking experience
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
- CCNA certification required
- Experience in the financial services sector preferred
- Cisco enterprise routing platforms (routers & switches)
- Nexus/Catalyst/Meraki switching
- OSPF multi‑area implementation
- BGP (iBGP/eBGP) configuration
- STP, VLANs, LACP, vPC, VSS
- Palo Alto firewalls & Panorama management
- IPsec/VPN solutions
- Cisco Any Connect & Global Protect
- NAC/802.1x implementation
- Network segmentation and perimeter access controls
- Velo Cloud SD‑WAN
- QoS implementation
- Metro Ethernet/MPLS
- F5 BIG‑IP load balancing
- Network redundancy design
- TCP/IP protocol suite
- Packet analysis and network debugging
- Performance optimization
- Python
- Ansible
- Power Shell
- CCNP certification
- Cloud networking experience across multi‑cloud architectures
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
- Solar Winds network monitoring
- Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
- CI/CD pipeline experience
