Sr. Solution Architect - REMOTE from EST or CST

Job Overview

Seeking a Sr. Solution Architect to lead solution and integration architecture for Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory, driving a new SaaS implementation for corporate finance and financial planning.

• Provide logical solution architecture for applications, integrations, and components to successfully deliver projects and meet business goals under limited direction.
• Design solutions across a broad and diverse application landscape based on defined business requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for projects, reviewing development team designs and coordinating across technical teams.
• Partner with business and delivery stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to CNO architecture standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT disciplines including analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop high‑level estimates for complex initiatives, including those with incomplete or evolving requirements.
• Prototype and evaluate new technologies to inform architectural decisions.
• Produce high-quality architecture designs and supporting documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Strong understanding and knowledge base of architecture and solutioning principles/practices.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems through methodical thinking, planning, and overcoming obstacles.
• Strong and effective communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of the current technology landscape, including a diverse set of applications and solution patterns.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5-7 years of related technical experience with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience on project teams building large enterprise, mission‑critical systems and articulating complex solutions to senior management and stakeholders.

• Time as a technical lead/lead programmer and familiarity with Python.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred) and Unix environments.
• Proven team‑oriented mindset with effective collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Prior experience leading solution and integration architecture across Azure platforms, including Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
