Sr. Solution Engineer; ERP Presales

Position Overview

Rimini Street, Inc. is a provider of enterprise software support and managed services. We are hiring a Senior Solution Engineer (ERP Presales) who reports to the Director of Pre‑Sales. The role is eligible for remote work from Central or Pacific Time zones within the United States.

Remote – United States, Central or Pacific Time zone.

• Partner with Senior Account Executives to support and influence ERP sales opportunities across North America.
• Engage directly with customers to understand technical needs, address challenges, and provide expert guidance throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery and Product teams worldwide to secure accurate pricing, delivery approvals, and alignment on solution feasibility.
• Deliver compelling presentations on Rimini Street’s services and support model—virtually and in person—addressing technical objections from Application Managers, Developers, DBAs, and C‑Suite executives.
• Develop comprehensive scoping requirements that define the services to be delivered, ensuring clarity and accuracy for downstream execution.
• Contribute to company‑wide initiatives to support product line growth and profitability.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time to support sales deals in the territory.

• 12–15 years in an ERP pre‑sales engineering or solution architect role, supporting a geographically focused sales organization.
• 10+ years presales experience for SAP, Oracle, or IBM.
• Hands‑on experience implementing, supporting, or architecting complex ERP applications across global enterprises.
• Experience with full‑lifecycle software implementations (discovery, design, deployment, post‑go‑live support).
• Experience with application and technology migration projects, including lift‑and‑shift initiatives to public cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise applications, middleware, and database technologies across multiple vendors.

• Mastery of software licensing models for major ERP and database platforms, including SAP, Oracle, IBM, and related ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise application and technology stacks, release cycles, and architectural models across vendors.
• Strong understanding of software licensing challenges, entitlement validation, audit exposure, consumption‑based models, and hybrid/multi‑cloud impacts.
• Experience with application and database security, including PCI, NERC, CIP frameworks.
• Knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and hybrid deployment models for SAP, Oracle, IBM, and other platforms.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to tailor messaging to both technical and executive audiences.
• Independent work and effective prioritization throughout the sales cycle.
• Strong public‑speaking and facilitation skills for conference or seminar presentations.
• Proficiency in creating professional documentation using Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with Salesforce and other CRM platforms.
• Highly disciplined and flexible for remote work beyond traditional 9–5 hours.
