The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Automation / Dev Ops Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated processes and infrastructure solutions. The selected candidate will be required to work on‑site, full‑time at our Melbourne, FL location. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options.

This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance software development, lifecycle efficiencies, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and managing cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with various automation tools and technologies, ensuring that the deployment and operational processes are streamlined and reliable. This position requires strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high‑quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation to provision and manage cloud/on‑prem cloud resources.
- Automate the deployment and configuration of virtual machines and containers using tools like Ansible and Docker.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate automated testing and ensure code quality through continuous feedback.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability of applications in cloud environments.
- Create and maintain custom automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Develop scripts and automation workflows for virtual test station deployment and configuration management.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems and processes.
- Document automation processes, best practices, and operational guidelines for team knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in automation and Dev Ops practices.
