Banner Health is committed to leading change in health care. We are seeking a LMDI specialist with Cerner Millennium Pathnet application experience to join our Lab IT team. As an IT Clinical Applications Lab Analyst, you will manage vendor relationships, implement cybersecurity procedures and policies, and oversee the day‑to‑day management of laboratory medical device instrumentation (LMDI) for IT projects and database management related to laboratory applications.

You will analyze security, clinical, business, and user needs, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide guidance to define, design and modify specifications and processes.

This remote position operates Monday through Friday, 8a.m.–5p.m. AZ time. Eligible home states include: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, , IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV & WY.

Position Summary

This high‑level strategic contributor uses clinical expertise to formulate system scope and objectives related to business requirements. Acts independently or as a leader, providing knowledge, guidance and research to define, design, and modify specifications and processes of complex information systems. Responsible for establishing documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications.

Core Functions

Business Outcomes: Identifies, investigates, tracks, and resolves multi‑level project, system or application errors, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Determines appropriate options, provides updates to customers, designs training and curriculum, and facilitates rollout and support.

Technology Standards: Designs and administers complex standards and policies for application and documentation. Writes technical documents (process maps, business requirement documents, system diagrams, test plans, work instructions, etc.) and stores them centrally. Provides expertise in integrated testing scenarios and coordinates change‑management documentation per ITIL standards.

Innovation and Futures: Offers constructive advice on processes, functions and redesign opportunities resulting from technology implementation.

Advisor and Partner: Provides leadership to staff, IT teams and committees, guiding design, implementation and maintenance of application and system specifications and processes. Coordinates task forces to improve IT service quality and efficiency.

Communication: Improves communication to resolve team conflict, values diversity, matches competencies to team goals, presents information effectively and encourages open dialogue.

Measurements: Supports key performance indicators, defines success, and tracks metrics to gauge achievement.

Strategic/Leadership: Identifies business and technical solutions across multiple areas, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvement and innovation.

Customer Service: Maintains awareness of customer needs, ensures timely resolution, and follows policies, procedures and standards including ITIL and professional norms.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and a current valid clinical license, certification or credential in the state of practice. Must have 4–7 years of experience in a healthcare environment, general knowledge of IT and healthcare, medium‑scale project planning experience, and strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to mentor less experienced team members and willingness to work variable shifts, hours or respond to pagers.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional related education and/or experience is preferred. Estimated pay range: $39.00–$65.00 per hour.
