Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Information Technology will provide oversight and supervision for the IT Shared Service team, include onsite IT support for Alliance schools, and share responsibility for the help desk, device inventory, and key enterprise systems such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and JAMF. The role is hybrid, with roughly 75% of the time spent at Alliance schools or supporting team members.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Share oversight and supervision of the IT Shared Service team, currently providing direct service to 11 Alliance schools and planning to expand to all 25 schools.
- Directly supervise two of the four IT shared‑service team members, with potential for additional supervision as the team grows.
- Provide additional onsite IT support at Alliance schools during peak periods (e.g., interim & state testing, new‑year device setup, and deployment).
- Fill in for the IT shared‑service team during planned vacations and sick days.
- Oversee the Alliance help desk, including ticket resolution and monthly service metrics.
- Maintain the device inventory, conduct quarterly audits, and administer Snipe‑IT as the asset inventory system.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the IT Desktop, IT Network, IT Home Office, Data & Systems Home Office, IT home‑office staff, school‑site technology associates, and school‑site leadership such as Assistant Principals of Operations.
- Demonstrates commitment to Alliance’s core beliefs and educational philosophy.
- Has supervisory experience of value to direct reports and a strong customer‑service orientation.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Possesses strong technical knowledge of repairing Macs, PCs, Chromebooks, iPads, Apple TVs, and other educational technology devices.
- Is proficient with Google Admin Console and JAMF.
- Has familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, cloud‑based solutions, Zoom & VoIP phones, and Power School (plus).
- Can travel to school sites and has reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3‑5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Robust supervisory and help‑desk experience.
- Relevant certifications for Google, Apple, and JAMF preferred.

The position is hybrid, combining work from home, the network office, and travel to school sites. The successful candidate will also receive a work‑from‑home allowance of $400 and a monthly stipend of $100.
Compensation$72,000.00 – $ per year.
