Remote Founding DevOps Engineer - THORChain

THORChain is a settlement layer that facilitates swaps between Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Cosmos Hub, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.

THORChain is secured by its native token, RUNE, which deterministically accrues value as more assets are deposited into the network.

Anyone can use THORChain to swap native assets between any supported chains or deposit their assets to earn yield from swaps.

Role:

The ideal candidate for the Dev Ops Engineer position will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our decentralized exchange platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain the infrastructure, tools, and practices that underpin our mission to deliver a seamless trading experience for our users, with a particular focus on Helm charts and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the deployment and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the decentralized exchange platform.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure the highest levels of security, privacy, and operational efficiency.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance system reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Monitor and respond to system alerts, conduct system performance analysis, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Dev Ops practices, cloud technologies, and automation tools, and integrate relevant findings into our operational framework.

• Create and maintain Helm charts to streamline application deployment, configuration, and scaling.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Dev Ops or related roles with a focus on infrastructure and automation.
• Proficiency in Dev Ops tools and practices, including CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure as code, with a strong emphasis on Helm charts and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
• Strong belief in the potential of THORChain and decentralized finance (DeFi) as a whole.
• Familiarity with cloud services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their associated tools.
• Strong scripting and coding skills, with a preference for proficiency in Go.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
