This position supports complex financial operations, procurement activities, and reporting functions that guide agency planning and decision making. Through your work, you will ensure that budgets, procurement actions, and operational needs remain aligned across the organization. As a Deputy Director of Resource Acquisition and Business Operations, you will perform the following duties:
- Procurement Management:
Oversee procurement activities, monitor progress, and troubleshoot workflow issues that affect business operations - Financial Oversight:
Maintain financial workbooks, review expenditures, and ensure spending stays aligned with approved budgets - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Work with financial partners, program offices, and information technology (IT) service owners to support procurement and budget needs - Leadership Reporting:
Prepare clear reports, summaries, and analyses for executive‑level meetings - Operational Analysis:
Support billing accuracy, cost recovery efforts, and financial tracking for IT services and data center operations - Process Optimization:
Identify weaknesses in procurement and financial workflows and recommend improvements to strengthen efficiency
- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

- Ten years of professional information technology experience; or
- Six years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- You must have at least three years of experience using SAP reporting tools
- You must have at least three years of experience using SAP’s SRM software
- You must have at least three years of government budget experience, including practical knowledge of managing, allocating, or forecasting public funds at either local, state, or federal levels
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
