Our client, a Large Public Pension Investment Office, is modernizing their investment technology ecosystem. We are looking for a Business Architect to lead the documentation and modeling of their current and future-state investment operating models.
This role is the critical bridge between Investment Operations, Data, Technology, and Enterprise Architecture.
This role is a fully remote, multi-month consulting engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Modeling: Document current and future-state workflows and data flows within an enterprise architecture tool (Ardoq).
- Domain Focus: Map public markets functions, including Portfolio Construction, Trading, Compliance, and Trade Settlement.
- Dependency Mapping: Identify upstream/downstream system dependencies and assess the impact of system changes or outages.
- Risk Mitigation: Support business continuity by identifying process ownership, frequency, and criticality.
Required Experience
- 8-12+ Years in Business or Enterprise Architecture.
- Investment Expertise: Strong knowledge of public markets processes and regulated environments.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Business Process Modeling (BPMN) and workflow/system mapping.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to bridge the gap between investment leaders and IT.
- Experience with Ardoq.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Asset Owners or Pension Funds.
- Background in large-scale technology modernization programs.
The Ideal Profile
We are looking for a practitioner who can sit with investment leaders, extract how the business truly operates, and translate that into structured architectural documentation. This role is focused on process modeling and risk mitigation, not data engineering.
