Optomi, in partnership with a leader in global information services, is seeking an experience Cloud Platform Engineer. The right candidate will maintain infrastructure with expertise in Kubernetes and Terraform, having a strong software engineering background and preferrably having experience with ArgoCD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure.
• Develop and support internal CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard their services to the platform, enabling self-service capabilities.
• Bring a strong Agile mindset: proactively identify issues, question inefficiencies, and continuously improve the platform.
• Serve as an embedded engineer with development teams to build scalable, long-term platform solutions.
• Apply knowledge of Istio Service Mesh, sidecar patterns, and Kubernetes networking as needed.
• Actively engage in the development lifecycle: raise concerns, challenge decisions, and influence architectural direction.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in software engineering or platform engineering roles with hands-on development experience.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Terraform (IaC).
• Deep understanding of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• CI/CD pipeline design and management using Git Hub Actions (little to no ADO usage).
• Experience with Istio, sidecar patterns, and service mesh architecture.
• Strong Agile experience — not just rituals, but the mindset: autonomy, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Able to think critically, challenge team decisions constructively, and avoid a "ticket-taker" mentality.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with Terratest in Golang.
• Previous work building developer platforms or internal developer portals
