Job Summary

Senior HR Systems Analyst (Senior Employee Experience Systems Analyst) – a member of the centralized, dedicated Workday HRIS Team based in our Tempe, AZ Home Office. This team ensures effective use of the system by updating, configuring, improving, and providing expertise on the system for other Employee Experience departments.

Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support for HRIS specific Workday modules, including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations to system utilization. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. Payroll, Talent Acquisition and IT).
  • Lead review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and other technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Document process and results.
  • Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Represent the Employee Experience Team in IT integration projects.
  • Advise on changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Implement Workday business process configuration changes.
  • Validate system configuration changes to ensure quality and stability of Workday.
  • Inform management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.
  • Serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assist subject matter experts.
  • View and audit incoming employee data from Self Service and Onboarding systems.
  • Resolve payroll, timekeeping and tax-related issues.
  • Answer help‑desk tickets.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Workday is highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with various data and analytics platforms including Workday.
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing business and system process improvements and setting standards.
