Business Systems Analyst Support Services Lead (Hybrid) – Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah
Supports the daily support, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems, and development, configuration, and delivery of new systems to support core strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities- Accountable for functional system design, configuration, and review & approval of high-level data flows, functional and technical specifications, system implementation staging, change control, design alternatives, and functional system requirements.
- Conduct unit, user acceptance, end-to-end and regression testing; post-implementation QA, troubleshooting, and resolution; monitor continuous process and system improvements.
- Review, analyze and resolve sustainment issues; develop implementation plans, data migration and backup strategies for updates.
- Write & execute ad-hoc reports and queries; develop scripts for data movement and updates; recommend process/technology changes to support efficiencies; support new technologies such as Tableau and APIs.
- Act as liaison between business areas and technology partners; communicate software / system changes to front-line colleagues, management, senior leadership, vendors, and internal teams; respond to inquiries on system functionality, modification, & issue resolution status.
- Schedule, organize, and prioritize work to ensure timely completion; perform in a project and staff leadership role; assist with project or production support duties; back up supervisory colleagues as needed.
- Assist in development of Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts; train and communicate system changes for end users and impacted colleagues.
- College degree desired in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Business Administration or related fields, or equivalent experience in healthcare industry.
- Minimum five years’ experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional system design, configuration and/or acceptance testing.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, report-writing capabilities, and basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to develop general and detailed functional requirements; perform system testing; facilitate system configuration decisions; produce project management progress reports.
- Strong analytical skills with rigorous logic and diagnostic capability for complex business requirements, process modeling, functional design and acceptance testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate communication between technical and business staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently; tolerate and manage ambiguity.
- Leadership experience in requirements analysis, functional design, quality assurance, implementation activities, project planning and scheduling; support Level
I team members. - Experience leading development of business cases, contingency plans, metrics and measurements to improve support services efficiency.
- Knowledge of at least one business area supported by this position (claims processing, membership processing, product configuration, enrollment, eligibility, etc.).
- Base salary range: $92,700 – $125,400 (depends on skills, experience, education, licensure, certifications). Bonus target: 15%.
- Full salary range: $87,000 – $142,000.
