Work is performed on-site at the Austal USA Shipyard, 100 Austal Way, Mobile, AL 36602

Position Summary

This role provides SharePoint development, administration, and data management support to the U.S. Coast Guard's Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Program Office at the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, Alabama. The Specialist develops local OPC SharePoint tools and workflows, manages program documentation in a SharePoint environment, and produces dashboards, metrics, and reports that support program decision-making. The position works closely with the Project Manager, COR, and OPC Program Office leadership to ensure SharePoint sites, document repositories, and data analytics support program operations across the OPC build, delivery, and post-delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade local OPC SharePoint sites, including dashboards, workflows, and document repositories
  • Design SharePoint workflows that support contract management, team activities, and quick‑view status dashboards
  • Organize and maintain configuration of complete electronic sets of current and historical program documents (MSAM documentation, decisional memorandums, modifications, specifications, correspondence, scheduling revisions, plans, technical presentations, and briefings)
  • Research and data‑mine within SharePoint as directed; retrieve data and status information; develop and provide program metrics
  • Support routine and ad‑hoc reporting on program documentation, including memoranda, MSAM documentation, and decisional documents
  • Track documents through concurrent clearance and sequential approval processes; maintain the SharePoint document repository
  • Validate spreadsheets that capture historical responses and decisions related to OPC design
  • Coordinate with USCG directorates to obtain and validate existing responses and assist with research of historical responses to new questions
  • Attend program meetings related to SharePoint status; take meeting notes and track action items
  • Provide weekly status updates to the Project Manager for invoice validation and contract reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret‑level security clearance required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of infrastructure and web‑based development experience in a SharePoint software environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, and Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience in performance metrics, analysis, and trending
  • Proficient in SharePoint dashboards, workflows, and document library administration
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance and meet established schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online administration experience
  • Experience supporting a DoD, DHS, or USCG program office
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding, federal acquisition, or major systems acquisition environments
  • Power Automate, Power Apps, or Power BI dashboard development experience
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS‑300, MS‑301, PL‑200, or equivalent)
Other Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Must obtain a DHS Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must execute DHS Non‑Disclosure Agreement (DHS Form 11000‑6) as a condition of employment
  • Must complete all required DHS IT security and privacy training within required time frames
  • Work is performed on‑site at the OPC Program Office in Mobile, AL

Requires eligibility to work in the US and may require a background investigation or security clearance.
