Sr. NetSuite Administrator

Backroads is a premium active travel company headquartered in Berkeley, CA, seeking a Senior Net Suite Administrator to lead final‑phase implementation and long‑term platform health.

• Implementation Support (Primary Focus)
  • Serve as a hands‑on implementation contributor working with third‑party consultants and the internal IT team to advance the go‑live roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues, data gaps, and integration failures across work streams (e.g., AP automation, multi‑entity/multi‑book setup, journal entry integrations).
  • Participate in UAT cycles, validate configuration against business requirements, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Support data migration activities including data mapping, validation, cleansing, and cutover planning.
  • Identify risks, flag scope concerns, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Administration & Configuration
  • Own day‑to‑day Net Suite administration: roles and permissions, saved searches, workflows (Suite Flow), custom forms, fields, and records.
  • Configure and maintain AP and AR workflows, approval routing, and vendor management processes.
  • Support multi‑subsidiary and multi‑book accounting architecture, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation.
  • Manage the relationship with the third‑party support vendor, coordinating and reviewing their work.
• Ongoing Platform Health
  • Provide user support, triage issues, and maintain system stability through and after go‑live.
  • Document configurations, workflows, and procedures to support knowledge transfer.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual workarounds, and optimize system performance.

• At least one full Net Suite implementation experience (configuration through go‑live).
• 7+ years of Net Suite administration with strong functional depth across Financials (GL, AP, AR), workflows, and reporting.
• Strong configuration and problem‑solving skills; comfortable owning complex issues end‑to‑end.
• Data migration experience: mapping, validation, transformation, and cutover planning.
• Ability to work effectively with third‑party consultants and vendors, holding them accountable to quality and timelines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical issues into business‑friendly language for finance and operations stakeholders.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑moving project environment where priorities shift.
• Suite Script experience: ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify existing scripts.
• Experience with multi‑entity or multi‑subsidiary Net Suite environments.
• Familiarity with AP automation, SFTP‑based integrations, or third‑party payment platforms.
• Prior experience supporting a Net Suite environment alongside an Oracle or other ERP platform.
• Travel, hospitality, or other service‑industry experience is a plus.

Full‑time, contract or seasonal position, anticipated to end in December
2026. On‑site in Berkeley, CA (four days in office, one day work from home).

Salary Range: $140,000 – $180,000 (based on experience and qualifications). Remote‑eligible roles may have adjusted pay based on geographic location.
