The Sr. Manager, AI Lead – Semantic Layer (Remote) is a product‑leadership role that will define, build, and grow the organization’s enterprise semantic data foundation.
YourRole
In this role you will lead the development and evolution of our semantic data products—an enterprise capability that connects data, business concepts, and AI‑driven experiences across the organization. You will own strategy, roadmap, and implementation of a shared semantic foundation for core business entities such as customers, policies, and claims, and you will partner with business, data, and technology leaders to ensure cohesive, governed data assets across the enterprise.
ProductStrategy & Vision
Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise semantic data and data connectivity across business domains. Identify high‑value opportunities, position the product as a business asset, and balance user needs, technical feasibility, and operational constraints.
Business & User UnderstandingDefine and manage data products aligned to key business domains, set clear ownership, users, and success metrics, and drive adoption across business units for data‑driven decisioning and automation.
Semantic & Data ModelingLead the creation of enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, and data models that represent essential business concepts and relationships. Ensure consistency, enable reusable standards, and support both structured and unstructured data integration for AI and analytics.
Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner deeply with business domains, data engineering, enterprise architecture, and AI/ML teams to translate concepts into scalable technical solutions while maintaining governance and consistency.
Product Delivery & Lifecycle ManagementOwn the end‑to‑end product lifecycle—from discovery and definition through delivery, iteration, and impact measurement. Evangelize the value of connected semantic data throughout the organization.
Data Governance & StandardsPartner with data governance teams to establish data quality expectations, promote reuse, and ensure compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements.
Required Experience, Education and Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in product management, including delivery of data or data‑platform products.
- 3+ years of leading or mentoring product teams and managing enterprise‑wide programs.
- Hands‑on experience with ontologies, semantic data models, knowledge graphs, and standardized business entities.
- Experience with enterprise data systems, data integration, and data platform initiatives.
- Strong ability to translate business concepts into structured data models and collaborate with technical teams.
- Solid understanding of data ecosystems, data governance, and data connectivity across domains.
- Experience enabling AI/ML or analytics use cases through well‑structured, connected data.
- Preferred: leadership of product managers or cross‑functional teams within regulated industries such as insurance or financial services.
- Creates a psychologically safe, inclusive environment and demonstrates authenticity.
- Builds trust, mentors teammates, and contributes to company culture.
- Owns enterprise strategy and connects it to larger business outcomes.
- Gives back to the community through volunteering or participation in employee resource groups.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary range for this position is $168,300 – $224,300 based on location, with potential for up to 20% discretionary bonus through our annual incentive plan. The role is remote‑eligible across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Additional benefits include annual bonus eligibility, 401(k) with company match, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
