Overview
Digital Communications Coordinator (Remote - North America) position posted on behalf of University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Accountabilities
Responsibilities- Develop, draft, and edit content for digital channels including news stories, newsletters, emails, and social media, ensuring alignment with brand voice and communication goals
- Design and produce digital assets using tools like Canva, and perform basic photo and video editing to enhance visual storytelling
- Manage digital publishing workflows, including scheduling content via social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social) and supporting web updates through content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Maintain content calendars, track campaign performance, and support community engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of campaigns and consistent messaging across channels
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on content effectiveness to inform future strategy
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience creating content for news, email, and social media platforms
- Proficiency in Canva or equivalent design tools
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social)
- Basic experience with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Ability to perform basic photo and video editing to enhance digital storytelling
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Previous experience in communications, marketing, or digital media roles
- Interest in higher education and mission-driven communications
- Experience managing cross-channel campaigns or content calendars
- Part-time, remote work with flexible hours
