Juniper Network Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in infrastructure modernization, is seeking a Juniper Network Engineer to join a forward-looking initiative supporting the transformation of legacy systems into a secure, cloud-native environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive critical networking solutions within Azure, with a focus on Juniper technologies, virtualization, and enterprise routing.

Requirements and Skills of the right candidate:

• 5+ years of enterprise networking experience with a strong focus on Juniper technologies
• Deep understanding of Juniper JUNOS and SRX series firewalls
• Proficiency in Azure network configuration, routing, and virtual environments
• Solid grasp of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Strong communication skills to support technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (IT, Computer Science, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Juniper-based network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure
• Serve as the go-to SME for Juniper networking and virtualization technologies
• Support a major enterprise migration from legacy on-prem systems to cloud-based architecture
• Optimize network performance and security across hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environments
• Work cross-functionally with Dev Ops, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions
• Document network designs, processes, and best practices for internal teams
