Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Platform Architect to join our AI Product Management team, responsible for transforming AI and ML capabilities into tangible business value. This individual will lead AI and ML solution definition and ideation, ensuring that the solutions chosen are scalable, effective, and aligned with the organization’s broader technical and business goals. The Principal Platform Architect will guide teams in identifying optimized architectures and value, while safeguarding against point solutions unless necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Definition & Architecture: Provide platform, functional, technical, and architectural expertise for AI/ML solutions, ensuring they are scalable, effective, and aligned with business objectives.

Vendor and Product Recommendations: Stay informed about advancements in AI, ML, and related technologies, particularly focusing on AI/ML vendors like Google and their products (e.g., GCP, Google Vertex). Make informed recommendations regarding platforms, products, and models that best fit the solution requirements.

Strategy &

Roadmap:

Contribute to the development of the AI/ML strategy, roadmap, and functional architecture with a deep understanding of available products and solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business, engineering, product, and other technical stakeholders to develop and deliver cohesive AI/ML solutions that drive business value.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, creating documentation that translates solutions into business outcomes.

Proofs of Concept & Viability Testing: Partner with other stakeholders to create and test proofs of concept, ensuring that new solutions or designs are viable and aligned with business goals.

Curate Technology Portfolio: Help curate the overall AI/ML technology portfolio, working with the AI Center of Excellence (COE) and other teams to ensure the selection of the right tools, platforms, and models.

Technology Ecosystem Development: Drive the creation of a purposeful ecosystem for AI and ML applications, ensuring interoperability and synergy between platforms, models, and technologies.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in product/platform architecture roles, or

Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in product/platform architecture roles, or

Ph.D. and 3+ years of experience in product/platform architecture roles.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with AI and/or ML platforms.

Proven experience in defining and implementing scalable AI and ML solutions.

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of AI and ML technologies, platforms, and tools (particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI, etc.).

Demonstrated experience in managing and recommending AI/ML technology stacks and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with leading-edge AI/ML products, solutions, and methodologies.

Hands-on experience in designing and developing AI/ML models and solutions.

Pay: $73.50/hour
