Overview

Jira Service Desk and Confluence Data Center Remote Administrator — Remote opportunity for a Federal client.

• Provide comprehensive system administration of Jira Service Desk and Confluence Data Center (user management, project configuration, workflow customization, patching, and upgrades).
• Deliver user support, including troubleshooting access/permissions issues, training, and documentation.
• Perform customization and optimization of workflows and system performance to meet organizational needs.
• Implement integration and automation with external systems using Jira automation, Appfire, Adaptavist Script Runner, and other plugins.
• Ensure security and compliance with DOJ/BOP policies, including role-based access controls, issue security schemes, and LDAP/SSO integration.
• Generate and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track KPIs, service desk performance, and asset management data.
• Manage and resolve incidents and problems, with proactive measures to improve reliability and prevent recurrence.
• Support Confluence Data Center administration (installation, configuration, clustering, performance optimization, backup/disaster recovery, migration, and plugin management).

• Proven experience administering Jira Service Management and Confluence Data Center.
• Expertise with Deviniti plugins (Dynamic Forms, Queues, Issue Templates, Extension for JSM).
• Proficiency with Appfire plugins (Surveys for Jira, JSU Automation Suite, JMWE).
• Strong knowledge of Adaptavist Script Runner (Groovy scripting, automation, custom JQL, REST API integrations).
• Experience with Jira Insight Asset Management (schema setup, imports, automation, reporting).
• Advanced understanding of roles, permissions, and issue security schemes.
• Confluence Data Center expertise (clustering, reverse proxy configuration, SSO, security audits, scaling, migration, upgrades).
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including workflow debugging, log analysis, and plugin compatibility checks.
• Ability to create documentation and training materials for technical and non-technical users.

• Must meet DOJ/BOP personnel security clearance requirements, commensurate with the sensitivity of data accessed.
• U.S. Citizenship is strongly preferred (required for most DOJ/BOP roles).
